RECALL STELLA & CHEWYS

We received notice of the following STOP SALE and wanted to immediately notify you: The Maryland Department of Agriculture has issued a stop sale on one specific lot of Stella & Chewy's Freeze Dried Chicken Patties (Chewie's Chicken Dinner Patties on the bag) after a positive test by the FDA for listeria monocytogenes. The lot number on the bag is 111-15 with a best by date of 4/23/16. While Stella & Chewy's has not yet issued an official recall for this product, we suspect that the company may take this action in the near future. Montclair Feed DOES NOT HAVE this product, but we are issuing this notice in an abundance of caution. If you or anyone you know has purchased this product, please check the lot and date codes and return the product to the place of purchase immediately. Listeria is not only dangerous to dogs, it can also be deadly to small children, the elderly and those with auto immune disorders. Consumers who have unopened bags of this dog food are urged to keep it sealed & away from people.
